I didn't say you had to ship from Hawaii to get the plants - just the fruit. I too allow them to ripen fully before harvesting.

There are always a few pineapples that ripen early and of course we will try our best to accommodate special requests. White Jade Pineapple is a highly sought after Hawaiian variety. Short of ordering one from Hawaii for $25 + $25 shipping or growing one I have no idea if they are as good as some people claim.
