When I reviewed Weller Antique 107, it was a steal at ~$25 MSRP ($100+ secondary). Weller Antique 107 is a wheat bourbon which provides the consumer with a full-bodied flavour and incredibly balanced palate.

That does help explain the short supply.

I've come to accept that I won't see this in stores. At $50, I won't be a buyer - as others have said, plenty of great whiskey out there for less - but what is "today" won't necessarily be tomorrow.

Since 2019, the lineup has been rapidly expanding even though availability is still so limited already I don’t know why they keep doing it.

BT weller is overhyped now for the new price. The dark caramel and cocoa smell mixed with wheat and corn also remind me of peanut brittle or fudge. After that, less potent, but still noticeable vanilla, wood, nutmeg, and almond flavors appear.

It’s moderate sweet caramel and kettle corn mixed with slightly stronger Red Hot candy-like cinnamon and moderate alcohol.

It seems like the whole shortage and price hike are engineered. Weller C.Y.P.B. All of this with a MSRP under $25. Glad I've bunkered some fairly-priced whiskey. I'm one year new to bourbon and got my first (and only)

While Maker’s Mark Cask Strength isn’t as desirable as Weller 107, this side-by-side confirms for me that Maker’s Mark is superior. Buy it at whatever price you’re willing to pay, but I wouldn’t spend more than $40-50. I went into the biggest store in my area today. Noticed Willet Rye has gone up 20% from last year.

It’s a richer and more complex wheated bourbon full of sweet honey, maple syrup, and sorghum syrup, as well as fruits, spices, and pecans. $25 versus $50 for something that’s not for sale to me doesn’t move my needle. W.L.

Weller Antique 107 Bourbon has a balanced and full-bodied flavor to satisfy your taste buds. Although I don’t shop there regularly, I was killing some time since I was in the area and hadn’t looked around in the store in quite awhile. My go-to local LS called me today saying they were holding Weller Antique and Special Reserve for me.

Suggested retail price for the 750ml bottles of Weller Special Reserve is $17.99, Weller Antique 107 is $19.99, and Weller 12-Year-Old $24.99 each. While Weller Antique 107 distribution is widespread, demand now outstrips supply causing bottles to be held back and not put on shelves along with fairly steep markup over the MSRP. I've been seeing bourbon prices going even crazier the past six months. Old Weller Antique is bottled at 107 proof, offering a complex taste and bold finish. If you want a dose of sanity, in what is many times an insane bourbon world...This is it in spades. I don't begrudge in particular from esteemed societies . I can see this pairing well with cinnamon-flavored foods such as certain curries and cinnamon buns, as well as sweeter foods such as vanilla cakes, custards, and puddings, especially those that are slightly burnt or caramelized. Used to be a steal. If you can, try both and decide for yourself.
