I don't know what's wrong with her. One was missing, so I removed the nest, and in there was the deceased finch, contorted in an odd position with his tail straight up and his head swung back. They're both a little over a year. Plants included are a small pine, dogwoods, blackcurrant, cotoneaster horizontalis and carex grasses. The cause of this problem is that their food is very dry and astringent, as well as sudden changes in temperature. The finch may even act as though it has an itchy skin irritation.
