Marlin 1936 30-30 caliber rifle. Barrel is marked “Special Smokeless Steel”. The Marlin Model 1936 Rifles (30-30cal) weremanufactured for only two years, 1936 and 1037. The serial number prefix is a B. I would like it to be in original condition with no modifications.

Thanks!Model 1936 and Model 36 are two different model types. Model: 1936. The serial number will be a four digit all numeric serial number. The gun itself was still stamped Model 1936 until sporting arms production was discontinued in 1941.

I knew you would pull through. It has the flat bolt, and non-checkered Monte Carlo stock. The barrel and mag tube are excellent with approximately 97% original blue. The only think I can find is it was made around 1941 and was really a Model 36 but marked 1936.
