Isla Fisher played the part of Becky Bloomwood very well! That's what adds warmth and depth to the film, rounding the otherwise very funny lines. Single-girl anxiety causes Kat Ellis to hire a male escort to pose as her boyfriend at her sister's wedding. There weren't enough endearing or amusing moments to outweigh the ridiculousness.
When a young woman realizes her brother is about to marry the girl who bullied her in high school, she sets out to expose the fiancée's true colors. There is nothing new or particularly intelligent about Confssions of a shopaholic, but what you do get is a nice, heartwarming chic flick. With Isla Fisher, Hugh Dancy, Krysten Ritter, Joan Cusack.
