I got to where I was too afraid to keep on reading but, too scared to put it down! Ainda bem que no filme corrigiram isso. The film reminded me a lot of Luis Bunuel's "Un Chien Andalou", as it's very atmospheric and surreal throughout. It was in Liverpool in 1975 that he met his first partner, John Gregson, with whom he lived until 1986. This film follows along pretty much the same lines as the man's first short, Salome, as it's the atmosphere, music and setting that is the point; with plot, characters and dialogue being completely forsaken. This is one of those stories where I can’t definitively decide which is better, the story or the movie. He is chosen by God to travel through the centuries and stop the demons' rampage. The Forbidden: Good story, and I liked it because it offered a bit of variety, whereas there wasn't too much dark fantasy, more like a straight up thriller for the most part. The film also features a sequence that sees a naked man dancing, which I wouldn't be a fan of anyway; but the fact that it goes on for about ten minutes makes the film even less fun.
