repotting aloe vera long stem

12 inches tall of stem. I'm not sure but my guess is it would and may be worth experimenting. Quite Interesting and lasts for weeks. Thank you.plenty of time. I just don’t want to kill them or transfer them the wrong way. Leave about 2 inches of the stem connected to the leaves and cut the rest off. Will it reroot?I read that you can trim the roots which will cause new roots to grow – don’t cut them all the way off, just trim them.There seems to be a step missing where you mention how to remove the baby plant from the main plant. and one of the babies broke off. It's so pretty and I love that shade of green.At one time my sister and I used to drink aloe vera juice. It worked wonders for my plant. They have members who will help identify your cactus and many may already be growing it. Treat the roots of the Aloe plant with some root stimulant. I would guess you may be about to collect seeds from the flowers and try to grow a plant that way but I really don't know.Glad I found this because my plant is definitely growing out like yours in the picture you showed. It was not well taken care of then soaked for a while, before it was given to me almost a year ago. However, as you can see if you look closely, the one on the left is super top heavy and leaning out of the pot.

The only thing that comes to mind is, could you perhaps have a unique variety of aloe where that growth in normal?? I had a few that had the pups on them some of them died and others did really well. This caused the plant to be top heavy and falling over.

After cutting off old branches on the parents ;). Don’t worry, aloe plants are very tough and the roots can handle being cut apart. She loves crafting, gardening, decorating and entertaining at her home in Pennsylvania. How deep can I repot my aloe? I would still suggest cutting it and repotting the stretch stem if you want.

If so, re-pot with fresh well-draining soil but do not water it for a few days. I've been trying for months to muster up the courage to do battle with it. U might have to dour own mixing.I broke apart a huge aloe with over 25 babies. It was stretched when i got it, and more confusing to me, growing in a fan shape or like a triton-- leaves / new growth growing on either side of itself, as opposed to a more rounded out shape that it normally would take, like rose petals on a rose. The only advice I can give is to make sure you use a good sandy-like fast draining soil mix when you transfer the plant. It took me a long time to get things right. As Aloe is a succulent like Jade or Cactus.I have a large aloe plant, how do I break it apart to start new plants, and what type of soil do I use? Typically aloe only needs to be watered once or twice a month. But can i just wipe off the leaves with a wet paper towel or will that harm their growth?I’m not sure why you want to wipe them down, but if it’s because they get dusty, then yes, do it! Also, could I cut off portions of the stem, as I see bumps on the stem, which from what I understand are undeveloped roots, and plant that?
