pink evaporation line

The same night I took that HPT (Home Pregnancy Test) after I had some spotting a few days following a 14 day Flo – something really weird happened! As the test dries and the urine evaporates, this caught ink is pulled to the surface and becomes darker.This is why the most important rule for getting a true positive pregnancy test is: Okay, so now you know how to spot a false positive pregnancy test.

I have an 8 year old but was didnt test positive till 6-8 weeks. I have tested a couple days ago with the exact same test as yourself and got some kind of faint line but I’m thinking it’s false as there’s a kinda splash mark too? Oh, the dreaded confusion between a positive pregnancy test and an evaporation line. I am on the depo though have been since feb and haven’t had a period since but recently been extremely exhausted and going to the toilet more recently so I did the tests and seen that so now I’m scared x Be sure to read the instructions thoroughly so you don’t waste your pee!When the wait time has passed, you look into the results window to determine whether the test is positive or negative. I am not even sure if the line appeared within the time frame or not. Maybe I'm totally late in the game, and you all know this already, but it seems revolutionary to me! As the ink moves across the result window, it collects in these one or both of these indents.An evap line (evaporation line) is a faint line that appears after a negative test has dried. Because tests are typically meant to be read three to five minutes after they are taken, the tests are still damp at the time they are read. I've taken about four pregnancy tests (Reveal pregnancy tests) and have had pink lines, same colour as the control line and the same thickness.

A trick that works with dollar tree tests is to run it under the water and that will get rid of an evap line leaving only the true results. And evap is from evaporation (lack of water), so this makes total sense as to how it would prove evap or BFP. This month, i am getting pink lines, but they aren't very dark ( as i am testing early anyhow). The evaporation line … There is a very faint pink line. By peeonastickfreak. Not sure if it will work for an IC though.

I'm new on here so I'll try and post a pic. In the same way that ink may accidentally pool in the indent line, the indent line itself may sometimes become barely visible. Please note, this is a board for peer-to-peer support.

Please shed some light to it. Yeah I got a pink evap line on an IC before. Positive tests carry a plus sign, two lines, or an explicit message like “pregnant” or “yes.”The tests that show two line results have two hidden “indent” lines where the ink pools: one for the control line, and one for a potential positive result. Last time I took a dollar tree test it was neg and stayed neg. But even with a much more concentrated urine the line is still faint.
