I put the taller legs on but they are still pretty normal in height. The stools are sturdy and the seats are comfortable. You have 2 different height options and it's beautiful! The Mainstays Adjustable-Height Swivel Barstool will give your home a modern look while offering extra seating for your visitors. The instructions say this barstool has a 300 pound weight limit so that's very reassuring, especially when you have kids that are constantly up and down off the stools.
